Announcement of IABMAS 2020 Awards Winners

IABMAS Senior Prize

The 2020 IABMAS SENIOR PRIZE is awarded to Kiyohiro Imai in recognition of significant contributions to bridge engineering.

IABMAS Junior Prize

The 2020 IABMAS JUNIOR PRIZE is awarded to Eva Olivia Leontien Lantsoght in recognition of contributuions to bridge engineering.

IABMAS Young Prize

The 2020 IABMAS YOUNG PRIZE is awarded to Sopokhem Lim in recognition of contributions to bridge engineering.

IABMAS Special Service Award

The 2020 IABMAS SPECIAL SERVICE AWARD is awarded to Nigel Powers, Riadh Al-Mahaidi, and Colin Caprani in recognition of outstanding service to IABMAS as co-organizers of the Ninth International Conference on Bridge Maintenance, Safety and Management, Melbourne, Australia, July 9-13, 2018.

THE IABMAS SENIOR, JUNIOR, AND YOUNG AWARDS

• Senior Award (nominees must be above 46 years of age by January 1, 2021).
• Junior Award (nominees must be between 36 and 45 years of age at January 1, 2021).
• Young Award (nominees must be 35 years of age or younger at January 1, 2021).

Nominations for the IABMAS Senior, Junior and Young Awards to be presented at the IABMAS 2020 Conference have to be sent to Dr. Hiroshi Yokota, Chair of the IABMAS Senior, Junior and Young Award Committee at [email protected]

Nominations must be received by March 15, 2021. In each nomination, please include past achievements, a short bio (including birth date), current position, and the nominee’s qualifications for this award.

The senior, junior and young awards will be for distinguished achievement in the areas of Bridge Maintenance, Safety, Management, Assessment, and Life-Cycle Cost.
